I bought this as part of a build for my first AR. It shipped reasonably quick, and it functions great! I put it on a PSA lower with an Anderson parts kit.

I'd say this is an ideal upper for a first AR build if you're going that route. The barrel profile keeps it light and the mid-length gas makes it a very soft shooter.

Purchased as part of a lightweight build for my daughter to inherit. Upper arrived faster than the estimated ship date. Excellent fit and finish; anodizing and phosphate look great, no tool marks. Upper came with a triangle handguard retainer that would not work with the Magpul furniture I wanted to use. Contacted Del-Ton. I shipped the item back to them at my expense and they swapped out the triangle retainer for a round one. Upper came back in less than two weeks. Finish around the front sight post was still perfect (had I tried to swap it out myself it would NOT have been). Del-Ton performed the work and shipped it back to me free of charge, and they were friendly and helpful throughout the process.

Bottom line = contact Del-Ton when you order and they will work with you to make sure you get exactly what you need the first time, like I should have done. Great people to do business with.
