3 of 5 Not a light profile July 17, 2024
Reviewer: Brighton LeBlanc from Brimley, MI United States
This is a government profile barrel with only the length of barrel beyond the front sight being thinner. The rest comes in at .685 to .665.

I'm not asking for a pencil profile, but at least turn down another 50 thou.

5 of 5 AR-15 20" Light Weight Flat Top Barrel Assembly April 2, 2024
Reviewer: Craig from Downingtown, PA United States
I wanted to build a Rifle platform that was similar to the M16A1 I used in the military, incorporating all of the internal goodies that have come along since then (M4 feed ramps etc.) turned out well and is quite a good shooter, better than I am anymore. It gets looks at the range as all the AR builds there are 16" builds and the only problem with it is everyone wants to stop and have a look at it and try a few shots.

5 of 5 Very nice upper August 21, 2023
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
I'm very happy with the fit and finish of the upper, it's well put together and well gassed. It's a great upper for the price and I have no complaints. It's nice and light and balances very nicely. The bolt is mpi/hpt marked and everything operates very smoothly.

3 of 5 not great, not terrible March 12, 2022
Reviewer: Anonymous from USA
Pros:
-pencil-ish profile (4oz lighter than A2 govt equiv, true A1 i think is 6oz lighter?)
-price isn't bad
-unique combo of 20", rail receiver, and pencil-ish barrel
-twist is friendlier to 55gr than the usual 1/7

Cons:
-handguards aren't milspec, just the usual fat A2's found in most commercial uppers
-gas block profile is still .750
-fit & finish is far rougher than equiv offerings from elsewhere (upper/lower have some jiggle you'd expect after 5 years not new, dust cover has to be pushed closed forcefully, etc)
-not chrome lined or nitrided

overall i'm satisfied because i'm chasing the config offered, but i feel it could be improved drastically with just a little more effort

5 of 5 Seeking a 20” ‘Pencil Barrel January 29, 2022
Reviewer: Chris Adams from Flower Mound, TX United States
I too currently am running a Del-Ton upper (20 inch government profile, and absolutely love it.  No problems hitting a one-square-foot steel target at 200 yards with only the iron sights.  However, what I’m really searching for is the light-weight (pencil) barrel, which is listed as ‘out of stock.’  Holding my breath here, as I’m a believer in Del-Ton products.
